Peppermint Candy Melt and Pour Soap Recipe
This melt and pour soap looks like peppermint candies once made. This makes a great gift for the Holidays, and is a perfect incentive to get children to bathe.
Instructions
Line your cookie sheets with waxed paper. Melt your soap on low heat, add your fragrance then pour half of the soap onto one cookie sheet.
Add red colorant to the soap still left in the pot, then pour this onto the other cookie sheet.
Let the soap cool a bit, but it must still be warm so that you can roll it. Once warm yet firm, peel from the cookie pans and then lie the red soap sheet on top of the white soap sheet.
Roll the layers into a tube until the tube is as round as a nickel.
Cut the tube from the layers, set it aside to cool thoroughly then roll the remaining layers into another tube.
Once cooled, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices. Wrap like candies using saran wrap and viola you have pleasing peppermint candy soaps.
